The challenge

Room automation had to feel instant and trustworthy: guests needed clear status for curtains, lighting, fan, and AC without wondering whether the command actually worked.

How it was solved

Built TV and backend control flows for curtain motors, lighting relays, fan control, and AC commands through an IoT gateway, with state polling, safety timeouts, and room-level device mapping.

Outcome

Delivered a unified in-room automation experience from the TV remote — fewer physical switches, clearer guest control, and easier room operations for hotel staff.
